ASK What do you use to decorate your house for the holidays? Write their answers on a board where the students can see them.
Play "It's Time to Decorate." Invite students to give a silent thumbs up when they hear one of the decorations in the song.
Divide students into four groups and assign them different decorations (Christmas tree, colored lights, ribbons and bows, mistletoe.) Give students time to create actions to act out their decorating.
Play the song again prompting students to perform their actions during their verse.
Teach the students the first and last verse of the song.
Invite students to perform the song singing the verses and performing their actions.
