The second verse begins a partner activity. Sit with a partner. Review how "Patty-Cake" is played by alternately clapping own hands and then partner's hands to the beat the music.

Distribute a pair of rhythm sticks to each person. Sitting with a partner, practice tapping right sticks together, left sticks together, and both sticks together.
