Optional: three signs: W for Walk, S for Skip and G for Gallop
Instructions
Stand in a large circle. Review three locomotor ways to move through space: walk, skip and gallop. Have volunteers demonstrate each way, then practice as a group.

As you listen to the song, move around as directed in the song. Remind everyone to be safe and try not to bump into any people or things.
Divide everyone into three groups: W for Walkers, S for Skippers, and G for Gallopers. Sit down until it is your turn to move in the song. Repeat the song several times to make sure everyone has a chance to be a part of each group.

Optional: try some locomotor variations. For example, instead of regular walking, try walking like a soldier, or like an elephant or like a mouse. For skipping, try skipping high or low. For galloping, try galloping fast or slow.
